from scattered notes to a one-page plan
The Book Threshold Session
You don’t need to have your whole book figured out to write it. You just need enough clarity to cross the threshold.
Your Book Idea is Still Scattered?
The Struggle
This book has been on your heart for a while, drawn from your story, your lived experience.
You know it’s meant to help people and it’s an extension of your calling, even be part of your legacy. But you’re too close to it and the pieces just aren’t coming together.
They’re scattered across notebooks, voice memoirs and journal entries. Maybe they’re half-started drafts, or ideas and memories still in your mind.
Maybe you’ve come through a hard season, and the more refreshed your feel, the stronger you sense that your story — and what you’ve learned through it — needs to be written sooner rather than later.
But you’re not even sure what kind of book it is. Is it non-fiction? A memoir? A full autobiographical life story? A guided journal or devotional?
You have a general idea who you’re writing for. But so far that hasn’t shed any light on the path forward.
While all these questions keep circling, and a niggling sense of urgency grows, yet you’re still not sure where to start writing.
The Light: where The Book Threshold begins.

It’s an opportunity to open the door for a glimpse of — a plan for — this writing adventure that awaits.
In this 90-minute working session, you’ll:
- Get the clarity that turns “who am I to write this?” into “I have to write this!”
- Uncover who exactly you’re writing for (and why it matters)
- Decide with confidence whether to shape your book (ie.memoir, nonfiction, or devotional)
- Discover what your book is asking you to say
- Know what to write next — a writing prompt pulled straight from your own story
You get my perspective from15 years of experience coaching purpose-fueled leaders, hundreds of hours of research and experience helping authors. But we’ll work with what you already have to shape into what best suits your personality, calling and style without forcing your ideas into someone else’s formula.
How It Works
- Before we meet: You’ll fill out a short call-prep form — a few guided questions about your book idea, your goals, and where you’re feeling stuck — so I can come to our call already oriented to your book idea. If you have existing notes, an outline, or a book description you’d like me to share ahead of time, you’re welcome to include them too, but it’s not required.
- Our 90-minute session: We’ll talk through your why, your reader, and your book’s shape — uncovering your writing prompt and next steps together in real time.
- After our call: You’ll receive a 1-page personalized Threshold Sheet capturing what we discovered: your launch point for your next writing (or organizing) sessions, including a writing prompt drawn from your own story and one clear next step.
By the end of this session, you won’t have your entire book figured out.
You don’t need to yet.
The best books become clearer through iterations as they’re written. All you need is simply enough clarity, order and momentum to begin.
You’ll leave this session no longer wondering if you can write this book or how it’s supposed to work. You’ll know what kind of book you’re writing, who it’s for, and what to write next — with the clarity and confidence to step across the threshold from scattered notes to a book that’s actually taking shape.

The Threshold Clarity Guarantee
Too much clarity and your brain starts swimming and swirling with wanting to tackle a daunting list of tasks all at once. And that’s a good recipe for procrastination (or cleaning your house).
Since the best books often become clearer as they’re written, you can set perfectionism, imposter syndrome and fear of failure aside and count on just enough clarity to begin.
By the end of this session, you’ll leave with your completed Threshold Sheet, a clear sense of who you’re writing for that sparks intentional focus, and a next writing step drawn from your story.
If you don’t leave that kind of next-step grounded clarity, we’ll continue the conversations at no extra cost until you do.

My Heart
No experience is wasted. That’s the resolve I’ve had as I’ve worked through healing and fears and followed my curiosity. This exploration led me to life and leadership coaching, writing and publishing books and journals, and connecting with authors.
After 15+ years of leading church groups, streamlining processes and strategies in ministry, and coaching clients in their purpose, one thing is clear: I have a knack for helping clients find congruence between their inner life, their calling and their creative work.
I hold a soft spot for individuals standing at a crossroads, embarking on an exciting, scary God-dream and who have no idea how God will be shaping their skills, character and faith along the way.
